Sedation

Firstly, your comfort is our first priority! We offer IV conscious sedation, nitrous oxide (more commonly known as laughing gas), and oral sedation medications provided prior to your appointment to help ensure a good night’s rest and relaxation prior to your visit.

Veneers

Secondly, porcelain veneers to treat a wide range of discoloration, worn enamel, abnormal spacing, chipped, crooked, and cracked teeth. Porcelain veneers are thin shells that are placed onto the front of the teeth and bonded to the surface, creating a natural appearance. Some veneers require no tooth to be removed and can be removed by a trained dentist at a later date.

Fillings – Composite and Ceramic

In addition, fillings are used after decay from a tooth has been removed. At 6th Sense Dental, we do not use or recommend amalgam (more commonly known as silver fillings). Composite fillings are made out of a mixture of resin and fine glass particles. Used for inlays and to fill in the small gaps, composite resin fillings are cost effective as well as resilient. Ceramics fillings are most commonly made of types of porcelain and are used when a greater portion of your tooth is missing. The biggest advantage of both these types is that they are the same color as your tooth and not readily visible. Also, no mercury or other harmful metals are used.

Crowns

Most importantly, crowns protect teeth from cavity or fracture damage allowing you to chew and function normally. Impressions and color matching make the crown an exact replica of a natural tooth. Several crown types are available and have been known to last for decades with the proper care. Ask Dr. Victoria about the various types of crowns that are available, including porcelain-fused-to-metal, zirconia, Emax, lithium disilicate, metal, and more! We provide all the various types at no additional cost.

Dentures

Subsequently, missing teeth cause your cheeks and lips to sink inward, causing the chin and cheekbones to look more prominent. This “facial collapse” can make a person look significantly older than they really are. Dentures can restore your natural facial structure by supporting the jaw, cheeks and lips. Complete dentures can also be attached to implants.  Custom designed and individually crafted for a remarkably natural look, fit and feel, we work with you to match the color and shape of your final teeth before processing to ensure you are happy with the appearance of your smile, also restoring your ability to chew, swallow, and speak.

Root Canals

As a result, root canals are used to treat nerve damage, irreversible pulpitis, and infection, the root is cleaned with water and antiseptics. The damaged section is filled with a soft filling material alleviating pain. Treatment may be paired with a course of antibiotics.

Cleanings

Above all, prevention is a key principle to oral health. Dental cleanings are one of the most important practices to avoid oral ailments and prolong the life of your previous dental work. Regular cleanings help remove the plaque that covers the enamel causing a number of dental issues. It also enables your dentist to evaluate any issues you may not be aware of prior to them progressing into a worse situation. In addition to enamel care, root surfaces are also debrided and smoothed. This helps to prevent periodontal or gum disease. If you have been previously treated for gum disease, more frequent cleanings are strongly recommended and based on the extent of bone loss or inflammation surrounding your teeth.

Night Guards

For example, many people are unaware that they grind their teeth while sleeping. In fact, this is such a common practice that it is one of the primary causes of enamel destruction. Many patients that grind their teeth will experience headaches, muscle tension and jaw pain. In order to prevent the harmful effects of bruxism (the medical term for teeth grinding) night guards are one of the most important dental care investments. We also provide obstructive sleep apnea appliances, eliminating the need for using a CPAP.

Teeth Whitening

On the other hand, teeth become yellow and stained for various reasons. The most common reasons are natural aging process, thinning enamel, tobacco use, certain foods and drinks. We offer various methods for tooth whitening including bleach trays, or in-office ZOOM whitening.

Cosmetic

Most importantly, Dr. Victoria and her team have a unique passion for smile enhancements and make overs. We offer all the various dental treatments to help give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of. Restore your confidence and learn to be happy with your smile again. Studies have shown that the smile is one of the first feature people notice about you. For further convenience 6th Sense Dental also provides private client hours and concierge services for select cosmetic cases.

Invisalign

Straight teeth are healthy teeth. One of the alternatives to metal braces is the clear, corrective aligner called Invisalign. Each Invisalign tray is worn for approximately two weeks, and the number of trays varies depending on the amount of correction needed. Invisalign can provide the same benefit as traditional braces, but with the added benefits of being able to remove them and less visible.

Extractions

In addition, our goal is to save all your teeth, but when damage is beyond repair, it must be removed to prevent further infection. Our team will oversee the removal with attention and comfort. We carefully monitor your quick and healthy recovery. Get the “white glove” treatment from our doctors.

Lasers

To sum up, at 6th Sense Dental, we are certified to administer this high-tech, less invasive treatment method that results in faster healing and less discomfort. Often our laser treatments can be used with no anesthetic.
